Between June and November 2022, Jalinka supported eco-friendly weaving practices across West, Central, and East Sumba — as part of our broader commitment to mapping the needs and opportunities of women in regenerative economies. In each region, we provided materials and engaged in fair, respectful exchange with local weavers, reflecting a shared commitment to inclusive livelihoods.

This support recognized not only their craftsmanship, but also the enduring natural dye traditions that continue to be practiced by women as part of daily life and cultural continuity.

The woven textiles featured here were acquired by Jalinka as part of this values-driven collaboration. Each piece carries the imprint of ancestral knowledge, ecological care, and the resilience of women artisans — brought into our collection not merely as products, but as stories woven to be honored, shared, and remembered.
